THE HAYLOFT

Our rental unit, The Hayloft, will be available January 4, 2008. It is located above our Christmas shop and garage and beside our home. The view is of one of our ponds in the front and a horse pasture and Christmas trees in the back. This is a one bedroom apartment with a living-dining room, full kitchen and bath. The living room has a futon, so we have sleeping arrangements for four people. The Hayloft has a gas fireplace, offers a complimentary continental breakfast and snacks. At this time we don’t have TV reception, but there is a TV in the apartment with a DVD player and a VCR and lots of movies to choose from. We also have board games. There is a stream behind the apartment. Guests can sit on the porch and listen to water gurgling.
 

The surroundings are beautiful in every season. We think we live in Paradise. We have 40 acres of land, with about 14 acres of Fraser Fir Christmas trees, three ponds stocked with fish, some pasture land, and a forest. In the late Spring and Summer our land is covered in wildflowers. In the Fall the trees dress up in their red and gold outfits. In the winter we often have snow. In two of the ponds fishing privileges are available. The other pond is stocked with Koi, the Japanese goldfish. You are welcomed to pick the flowers and hike in the woods.

Our location is also outstanding. We are only 15 minutes from the New Market outdoor mall in Boone. This mall has a grocery store, movie theaters, restaurants and specialty shops. We are only 20 minutes from downtown Boone and Appalachian State University. There are four skiing resorts, Grandfather Mountain, Blowing Rock, Tanger Outlet Mall, and the Blue Ridge Parkway nearby.

The price for this apartment is $115 per night or $700 per week. Small pets are welcomed as long as they are house-broken and non-destructive. If you do bring a pet, there will be a refundable pet deposit of $50.
